I was in dilemma where to bring dad for dinner on Father's Day. Knowing that he's a "seen it all", "tasted it all" kinda guy, I decided to bring him somewhere he's never tried before. I was recommended a "Tai Chao" place in Dengkil (approximately 40 minutes drive from Bukit Jalil). The food was apparently good and cheap. We had quite a fare, just the four of us (Dad, Mom, Kakak, Myself and oh... baby too!). 5 dishes altogether. The verdict? The food was tasty but honestly, nothing great. The other cons would be that we waited an hour before our dishes were served (there was only one cook - the owner himself!). Nonetheless, the bill was waaaay affordable. All in all, I wouldn't come back to this place for a loooooooooong time :)
The "Ziu Pai". Not easy to find this place at first. We missed it along the way
A small place, but it was crowded. Mostly locals around there, we believe
The 3.5 stooges - Dad, Mom, Me and Baby
Our first dish served. Deep fried fish, soaked in "ziu pai" sauce
Fishball steamed with Tofu. Never tried Tofu this manner before. Something simple and plain to neutralize the table
Stir Fry Paku vegetable. I think you can hardly find this dish in KL

Try shoving that durian to me.. see what will i do to it... probably i'll eat your share too.. Miss all the balik pulau durian.
